In the Shudder Horror Fans group, we have a Movie of the Week where we’ll all agree on a movie to check out for the week, then comment on the movie the following week. This last week’s movie was Howl, which I really enjoyed. I wasn’t expecting a lot going into it, but was pleasantly surprised by the amount of thrill that this movie provided.
The movie introduces us to our male protagonist who just can’t seem to catch a break, respect, or even a date. The story mostly takes place on a broken down train, where the passengers are trying to fight off a force that is trying to slowly kill them from the outside. There are a few jump scares and lots of blood in this movie, leaving us with a very thrilling horror movie.
I found this movie to be quite the hidden gem. It kept me interested throughout and left me caring about the passengers as they fought for their lives. This is a great movie to watch alone, in the dark.
